1993-4 Poster: White tabloid paper (17"x11"); color Xerox. Watercolor, brush and India ink, and marker. Egon Schiele’s work, which was recommended by the director, Michael Ouellette, inspired both William Fregosi’s set and this poster. The figure is after a boy from a Schiele pencil drawing (Three Street Urchins, 1910); the coloring is mine. The lettering used for “Springs Awakening” was inspired by Schiele’s signature; again, the coloring is mine. This was my first poster for Dramashop. Eddie Kohler // index |
